“ The cocktail was delicious. Well made. The chicken cutlet was fried perfectly. A nice touch to serve it with asparagus and potatoes. I've only ever had cutlets in my sandwiches so this was different but tasted amazing!!! It really hit the spot. The pork belly paired well with the mango salsa. Bartenders are attentive and know their job along with their clientele. It's an intimate ambiance that's great for parties or dates. Love the location. ”

“ Out here for work in the 716 and a college bud recommended this one. Mother's interior is absolutely warm and would be perfect as a jazz club (nice dim lighting). A lot of very eclectic folks in here from roughnecks to just some slightly uppity kids trying to make a good impression and feeling urban. Only issues..for Buffalo and the wine prices are a bit high and the crab cakes were lukewarm and more on the breadcrumb than lump meat usually akin to a proper Maryland crab cake (I lived in the DC area for 6 years...). Just a cool off the beaten path place though on a side street. Remoulade was a bit bland too.. I'd come back for a cocktail tho...very good staff and nice crowd. ”

“ What a pleasant tucked away gem. Mother's is such a cute small restaurant with a cool extended outdoor dining surprise. The first time I went I dined outside. It was decorated with lights and was such a great atmosphere. As of late we've been getting stuck at the bar due to not RSVPing but nonetheless, the experience is always great. My "regular" meal is the chicken cutlets with white sauce, potatoes and asparagus. So delish. The fritters are also extremely good. ”

“ We haven't been here in a while but have always enjoyed it so we decided to try again! We love the atmosphere at the bar so we stopped and had a drink , pre-meal! The service was excellent and great cocktails too! We sat for dinner and Jennifer was our server. She was very engaging and efficient but also did not hover over us! We started with raw oysters for her and I had the crab cakes! Both were very good! My wife ordered the Duck special which shocked me, because she normally leans towards seafood! I ordered the Sea Bass. Both meals were very good, though I much preferred her Duck to my fish! We need to keep Mothers in mind more often and we've never had a bad experience! ”

“ Okay let me start off by saying, this was by far the best dinner I have ever had. I'm 29, and I LOVE trying new restaurants. It's a bit pricey, but it's well worth it. I forgot to take pictures at first because I was astonished at how great the food was. We got lobster gnocchi to start, and it was fantastic. I got the duck breast as my entree, and when I tell you it was the best food I've ever had, I mean it. We sat on the patio, and it was beautiful. It has a courtyard vibe, and there was a great spot to take pictures. Our server was so kind the entire time. He let me step into the kitchen for a second to thank the cook personally. If you have never been here, you're missing out!! ”

“ Went for my engagement dinner with my partner and was not disappointed! Firstly, we had the best server who was so friendly and accommodating as we initially started out outside, but then my partner was a little cold, so were able to move inside without any interruption to the service experience. She was the best. In terms of the food, I opted for the Pasta Bolognese, which was very yummy. Definitely wish I had some leftovers. My partner who was in a rabbit sort of mood, I suppose and got all appetizers for her dinner, including the bread basket, mussels, and clams. She seemed to really enjoy them a lot, though she mentioned she didn't care as much for the sauce base they were both in. For drinks, I opted for a Classic Cosmopolitan and she had Prosecco. I really enjoyed my Cosmo! Almost got a second one but resisted, haha. This place is definitely worth a visit if you're looking for a nicer than average dinner out with well above average deliciousness. ”

“ I'm a frequent of the bar here and have the late night bar menu but my fiancée and I finally sat down and had a full meal and it was as amazing as I expected. I had my eye on the pasta for a while and I was not disappointed. What a combination! My fiancé had the veal chop and raved over every single bite. Server was super nice although it was a bit slow. The place is clean and cozy making for a nice intimate dinner. I will say for the price of the meals, they could definitely improve the aesthetic of their menu. Handwritten specials and peeling plastic covers don't fit the vibe. All in all, will continue to return! ”
